December         14             1926   Judge J. W. Bollinger, Putnam Building, Davenport, Iowa.   Dear Judge:                   Your letter of December 10th received and I am glad you wrote to me. I am sorry there is nothing we can say to each other that will make things easier or anymore understandable.                   I just wanted you to know that I am leaving here within the week to go to my daddy who lives at 701 Michigan boulevard, Pasadena, California which will be my headwuaters[sic] until spring.                   I will put Jack in school down there then I will be very busy as they are having two memorial exhibitions for Charlie, one in Santa Barbara in January, another later in Los Angeles, so I shall be occupied and not have so much time to be alone.
