May 1, 1 9 2 8 Mr. Erwin S. Barrie, Grand Central Art Galleries, 15 Vanderbilt Ave., New York City. Dear Mr. Barrie: Your letter of April 23 was received. Regarding the contribution of Bronze to the Gallery, I didn’t know that each year there was to be an artist contribution for the exhibitors at the gallery. It seems to me this is a little heavy. Does this go on in- definitely? I thought the initiation fee was paid in the first two or three years and gave the artist the privilege of exhibiting with a fair amount of commission paid the gallery. The gift each year pulls my profit pretty hard and I thought possibly this was an oversight, so am writing you before I de- cide what I will do. Sincerely, NCR:ED
