725 Michigan Blvd., Pasadena, California. December 1st,1936 Mrs. J. P. Thoroughman, C a s c a d e , Montana. Dear Effie: Your grand long letter came and I was so glad to get it. I do like to get your letters because they tell so much of your home, the country and your happy soul that just purrs over your country. You should be happy because you seem to talk to nature in a way that few people can. I am glad Joe is feeling pretty well. It is no fun babying yourself and find you can’t do all the things you have always done. I am finding that. I think I am going to do so many things in a day and find at the end of the day I am lucky if I have done one but I am getting better and if I can just have patience, the old girl might be like herself again some time. In going through my papers and getting things in ship-shape order, I found your note. I have made out a new one and am sending it for you and Joe to sign. I have cancelled the interest from January 2nd, 1932 to January 2nd, 1937 in the amount of $200.00 ^[handwritten] a year^ which will help some. Things are coming back in so many ways and I am hoping good luck will come your way too. I will write a longer letter next time. Lots of love to you all. Sincerely,
