Essay/Description

Fully beaded pouch on unadorned frame, field of blue beading with multi-colored design. At bottom, two fringed flaps of buckskin. Loose striped cotton lining. Geometric design, pink, purple, red.

Curatorial Remarks

After the Battle of Palo Duro Canyon in 1875, most Kiowa material culture was destroyed by the cavalry.
