Essay/Description

Strike-a-light bag made of saddle leather, beaded with cone metal jingles. These bags were typically worn on one’s belt and contained a striking stone or another material used to ignite a fire. The flap has a beaded band along the opening that has a white background with blue rectangles. The front of the bag has a beaded white background with a blue line bordering the geometric design in the center. The geometric design is made of green triangles edged in red, red flag designs, and a red rectangle surrounded by blue triangles. The bottom is edged with metal cone jingles. There is a long leather tie at the top, four leather strips from the bottom corners, and two leather ties in the center of the flap.
