Bag with rawhide fringe with blue pigment, silver button, brass studs, and large beaded pocket on saddle leather.

Curatorial Remarks

This is not a pipe bag. It is a dispatch bag made with commercial leather. Dispatch bags were supposedly used to carry messages back and forth. The front flap indicates that this is probably not a pipe bag.
