Essay/Description

Fully beaded moccasin with white background with two red bands down the toe and a hard sole. Fine bads. Red bands are unusally far apart and are at the outside of too rather than central as usually found. Typical yellow pigment on hide.

Curatorial Remarks

Well-worn men's moccasins. The Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes intermarried a lot. The two tribes were closely aligned in their everyday life.
