Coiled water jug with horsehair lugs pitched in pine resin / Unidentified
Essay/Description
A water jar basket made of split yucca coiled over rods, covered with pine or pinon pitch. It also has two braided horse hair tumpline handles.
Curatorial Remarks
The coils in this basket are very evident. The basket was most likely made from sumac rather than willow or yucca.
